Understanding Applied Kinesiology

Applied Kinesiology is the study of how the body moves and functions as an integrated system. Developed in 1964, this approach evaluates muscle strength and joint performance to identify imbalances in movement, structure, and neurology.

When a joint doesn’t move properly, it can trigger irritation, inflammation, and pain. Our goal is to restore normal motion by addressing the soft tissues — the muscles, ligaments, and tendons — that control how joints move.

At McGee & Perrier Kinesiology, every treatment begins with understanding how your body performs — and what may be limiting its ability to heal and move efficiently.

Nutritional & Integrative Support

The body’s chemistry influences how it moves, recovers, and performs. That’s why both Dr. McGee and Dr. Perrier integrate nutritional and metabolic testing into care when needed.

Using advanced lab analysis and functional assessments, we evaluate key factors such as:
  • Adrenal and hormonal balance
  • Digestive and gut health
  • Blood sugar regulation and inflammation
  • Metabolic efficiency
From there, we design targeted nutritional strategies using professional-grade therapies to help restore balance. In some cases, we also incorporate homeopathic remedies, enzyme-based protocols, and select peptides to gently activate the body’s natural healing response.

This integrative approach allows us to treat not just the symptoms, but the deeper mechanical and biochemical causes of pain and dysfunction.

Lifestyle & Performance Coaching

Optimal health depends on what you do outside the clinic, too. We provide personalized coaching on:
  • Footwear & Orthotics: Custom-fit arch supports and footwear guidance to improve alignment and comfort.
  • Exercise Programs: Safe and effective aerobic and strength routines for all ages and fitness levels.
  • Sleep & Recovery: Tips for quality rest and support-pillow fitting to reduce strain on the neck and spine.
  • Ergonomics: Practical adjustments for your workspace and daily habits to prevent repetitive stress injuries.
Whether you’re an athlete, an active parent, or simply want to move without pain, these strategies help you perform and recover more efficiently.

"...I was so impressed with Dr. Perrier’s unique method of adjustment and understanding of the body as a whole... His treatments, diet and nutrition recommendations have truly changed my life and my perspective for the future."

- Lorelea - Ronan, MT

"After playing softball for years and years, my body was wearing down. I was in my senior year – when my performance was most important – and I could barely walk . . . One of the girls on my team recommended that I go see Dr. McGee and that it had worked really well for her . . .

After a few weeks of going, I started feeling a little bit better, and the more I went, the better it seemed to get. As my body continued to improve, my performance started to get better and better. I owe my success in my senior season to Dr. McGee and his staff. I am very thankful that I came across such good people who cared about my mental and physical well being. You don’t have to take my word for it, but you should go in and find out for yourself.”

Lindsay Craig
Wichita State Softball

Lindsay went on to break the Wichita State all-time record for career wins. She had 22 wins in her senior season, a 1.52 ERA, and led Wichita State to their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 1989.
