Have a Pressing Question for Our Doctors?

Common Questions About McGee & Perrier Kinesiology

Whether you’re exploring care for the first time or seeking a better approach, we understand you may have questions before getting started. Below are some of the most common ones our patients ask — along with clear, straightforward answers to help you feel confident about your next step.
Kinesiology

What do you do at McGee & Perrier Kinesiology?

We are muscle and joint specialists who focus on restoring movement, function, and strength through soft-tissue and neuromuscular-based treatments. Our care helps relieve pain, improve performance, and support whole-body health without traditional joint “popping.” Every visit includes about 20 minutes of direct doctor time, so your care is thorough, personal, and effective.

What makes you different from other offices?

We combine decades of clinical experience serving patients throughout Wichita and Kansas with advanced training in Applied Kinesiology and Integrative Health. Our doctors evaluate how muscles, joints, nerves, and systemic health interact — addressing both the source of pain and the underlying imbalance that allows it to persist. Patients appreciate our blend of structural care and whole-body insight.

What happens on my first visit?

Your first visit begins with checking your vital signs, a review of your health history, and of any imaging or lab work you bring. Your doctor performs a complete neurological and orthopedic exam, followed by a detailed muscle-performance evaluation to understand how your body functions as a whole system. You’ll discuss three key questions together:

  1. What’s wrong?
  2. Can we help?
  3. How long should it take?

Most patients begin treatment the same day with gentle 20-minute neuromuscular soft-tissue therapy tailored to their needs.

Do you perform chiropractic adjustments?

No. Our treatments are gentle, precise, and do not involve high-force spinal manipulation. We focus on muscle correction, soft-tissue release, and muscular re-education, helping the body move and heal naturally.

Do you take insurance?

We operate on a direct-care model, meaning payment is made at the time of service. This allows us to give you more focused doctor time, flexible testing, and transparent pricing — free from insurance restrictions. Most patients can still seek reimbursement through out-of-network insurance benefits and health sharing plans, and we provide superbills so you can easily self-file. We accept Health Savings Accounts, Flexible Savings Accounts, cash, checks, and major credit cards.

Why don’t you bill insurance directly?

Rising deductibles and limited coverage make traditional billing inefficient and expensive. By removing those barriers, we keep costs fair, office visits longer, and recommendations based solely on your needs — not on approval codes or coverage limits.

Do I have to do lab testing?

Not at all. We start with a full functional and structural exam. Testing is recommended only if it can add meaningful insight into your case. You and your doctor decide together what’s appropriate based on your goals and comfort.

What kinds of labs do you use if needed?

We partner with KBMO Diagnostics, Labcorp, Diagnostechs, and other respected labs to evaluate food sensitivities, gut health, metabolic, hormonal, and immune function. We also use Fullscript for supplement fulfillment and occasional discounted labs. All labs are run at cost, not through insurance, so results are affordable and accessible.

Who do you treat?

We see patients of all ages — from kids and athletes to adults managing chronic pain, fatigue, or autoimmune concerns. We often help those who have tried other treatments without success and are looking for a more comprehensive, gentle approach. Treatments are always customized to the individual’s needs, health goals, and comfort level.
